Remembering Bruce Scott – A Day of Music, Song and Memories

On Saturday 14th November 2026, Liverpool Irish Centre and Liverpool Comhaltas will come together to celebrate the life and music of much-loved Liverpool traditional singer and songwriter Bruce Scott, marking ten years since his passing.

Bruce wrote around 100 songs, leaving behind a lasting contribution to Liverpool’s Irish music and singing tradition. The day will bring together singers and musicians from Liverpool and further afield, including Dublin, Donegal, London and Scotland, to celebrate his music and remember the man behind the songs.

The afternoon will feature a singing session with Bruce’s compositions alongside songs from the wider Irish traditional repertoire. The evening will continue with a special tribute concert featuring local singers and musicians, Irish dancing, readings and memories shared by members of Bruce’s family.

The day will finish with a traditional music session, open to all who wish to join in.

A celebration of Bruce’s life, his songs and the musical community he helped shape.
