Liverpool Irish Choir
About Us
Liverpool Irish Choir started in November 2022, as a way to bring people together to sing for Liverpool Irish Centre's Christmas events, the choir has grown and gone on to work on other exciting projects. The aim is for people to experience the joy of group singing as a community.
Positive Impact
The positive impact of group singing on well-being is widely documented and this is one of the reasons our regular choristers come back week after week. Singing just makes you feel good! All singers are made welcome, either with lots of experience or none at all.
Music with Amy
We have a wonderful choral teacher in 'Music with Amy', who is sharing her choral, musical and performance expertise, to teach us how we can be our best yet. Of course, having fun with singing remains the key.
Performing
Although we love to sing in our weekly practices, we also work towards performing for others too. Some of our singers have been proud to support the Irish Pantos. We are regular performers for St Patrick's celebrations and singing at St Patrick's Mass. We branched out further, with Irish (and other) Eurovision favourites for the centre's Eurovision night and have staged our own concert night too. There are lots more projects in and outside of Liverpool Irish Centre on the horizon……. Watch this space.
