President Higgins visit to the Centre
In 2012, President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina visited the Liverpool Irish Centre. Here, he praised the work of the Irish community of Merseyside, giving a speech that stated: “It is especially appropriate to be here at St. Michael’s Irish Centre, which has been at the heart of supporting the Irish Community in Liverpool for so many years.”
