LJMU/Liverpool Irish Centre Archive Project

We’re building something special — and we need your help.

The Liverpool Irish Centre has been at the heart of our community for generations. From céilís and christenings to fundraisers, funerals, weddings and wild St Patrick’s nights — it’s more than a building. It’s our story.

We’ve teamed up with History students from Liverpool John Moores University to create a digital archive that protects and celebrates that story for years to come. But an archive is only as strong as the memories behind it.

Do you have old photographs tucked away in a drawer? Tickets from a long-ago dance? Newspaper clippings? Posters? Letters? Programmes? Pictures from last year as well as 50 years ago?

Every photo matters. Every document tells part of the journey.

By sharing your memories, you’re helping us preserve the history of Liverpool’s Irish community and ensuring future generations can see where they came from.

If you’ve got something to share, please send it to:

Let’s build this archive together.
