Liverpool Irish Centre AGM

The Liverpool Irish Centre Annual General meeting will take place on Thursday 3rd December 2020 at 7pm at The Liverpool Irish Centre 6 Boundary Lane Liverpool. Please note that although all members are invited to attend the AGM, in light of the situation with Coronavirus, we will be limiting attendance to 50 people including any members of the committee and staff who wish to attend, so attendance will be limited and will be on a first come first served basis. We will be posting on our website all of the relevant papers in advance of the meeting. We will invite all members who wish to do so to vote on any motions presented to the meeting by email. The decision to hold the meeting will be reconsidered in light of any changes to regulations when they are reviewed by the government in the middle of November.

The meeting will have before it the following agenda:

1 Minutes of the AGM dated 28 April 2019.

2 Report on the Accounts to the year end March (2019 and 2020).

3 Report of the Chair on the activities of the Liverpool Irish Centre 2019-2020.

4 Election of new trustees to the committee

5 Business plan

6 Report on the premises at Boundary Lane

Resolutions arising from the above will be posted on the website and notice board with the formal notice of the meeting at least 21 days before the meeting. If any member wishes to join the committee, they must give notice to the Administrator, Maureen Morrison, which must arrive (by email or post or hand delivery) by no later than 5pm on Monday 9th November 2020. The notice should contain a short statement of the candidate’s background and reasons for wishing to join the committee, together with details of the persons nominating and seconding the application who should either sign the application or email confirmation to similar effect. The committee has three vacancies and would particularly welcome people who have expertise in fundraising, catering, building and/or gardening. In the event that there are more than 3 applications there will be a vote in which all members will be invited to participate, by email or post (if the member is not attending).
