Vacancy at Liverpool Irish Centre – Wellbeing Project and Centre support
Liverpool Irish Centre (LIC) has since early 2020 run a health and wellbeing project called Slainte le Cheile which has been funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. We have a vacancy on an initial 4 month fixed term basis for an enthusiastic individual to support Slainte le Cheille. The role will involve hands on organization of group activities such as yoga, mindfulness and mum and baby group and the collation of information to inform the board of trustees and the funding organisations. Experience in the use of charity log would be useful but training can be given.
Additionally, experience in working with vulnerable adults and on health projects in the past is desirable. As part of our recruitment process the successful jobholder will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and the cost of this will be met by the centre. A desire to improve the lives of residents of deprived areas, and a real passion for health and wellbeing are essential.
The possibilities and potential in the role are significant but this is a funded role and our funding limits the term to four months from start of employment. Salary would be pro-rata £2,000 per month with flexibility in terms of total hours. We envisage total hours to be in the region of 20 hours per week but we can be flexible on this. The successful candidate would need to be available on Monday evenings and all day Thursday to fit in with scheduled activities.
The post will report into the Chair of the Board and work in a team with the senior leaders at the Irish Centre. Integrating project work and being part of the life of the centre, you will have strong team working and communication skills.
