Dermot Hegarty... comes from County Longford. He is a singer & songwriter whose first recording entered the Irish charts in 1967. In 1969, he formed the Plainsmen and a year leter, he recorded his biggest hit: "21 Years” (No.1 for 2 weeks & 39 weeks in the chart). He has toured Canada, the United States, and Europe, topping the bill at Carnegie Hall (New York) and Royal Albert Hall (London)
