GAA in Liverpool
GAA is alive and well in Liverpool with many university teams, however here we will focus on the two main GAA clubs in the city.
Liverpool Wolfetones CLG
Liverpool Wolfe Tones CLG was founded in March 2010, to provide the vast numbers of Irish arriving on Merseyside with the opportunity to play Gaelic games and become involved in the ever growing Irish community in Liverpool.
Vision
​Initially the club only comprised of one Mens Gaelic Football team. However, in the first 5 years the club managed to develop into the only Club in the North West, and one of the only clubs in Britain, to have teams playing in each code of Gaelic games. The club now has a Mens Gaelic Football team, Ladies Gaelic Football team, Hurling team and a Camogie team.
Joining Up
Since its inception, the club has welcomed members of all ages and abilities. It also encourages the involvement of newcomers to Gaelic Games and social members who just want to get involved in the craic. The clubs members come from the breadth and width of Ireland and Britain. The club comprises of both students and working professionals within the city. The growth of the club has proved that Gaelic Games and the Irish community have a well suited home on Merseyside
John Mitchel's GAA Liverpool
John Mitchels Liverpool is one of the oldest GAA club in the UK and outside Ireland dating back to 1904.

We play our games at Greenbank Park, the first official Gaelic pitch in Liverpool and play teams from all over the UK and Ireland.
Vision
Although the club was `away` for a number of years, we once again play and promote Gaelic games (presently football) in Liverpool, with a Ladies team and Junior & Senior men`s team. Our underage system is also progressing with the help and hard work of the teachers (mainly players) from all across Merseyside. Our ladies have been All Britain champions and have moved up to a higher level of competition in only a few years. Our Junior footballers won the championship for the fifth year in a row last season.
History
The club has a vast and proud history, with many of its former players and members Liverpool born, indeed without the support of the Liverpool community we would`t exist.

We also have lots of Irish members who have moved to Liverpool over the years and looking back throughout the club`s history it`s amazing to see how many people have been involved and those that still are - some of them for over 60 years!
