Community Partners

We continuously strive to build links with the broader community. Below you can find links to the organisations that support the Centre and everything we do. Without their support the Centre would not be where it is today.

If you would like to become a Community Partner, please email us: info@stmichaelsirishcentre.org

Sláinte Le Chéile (Health Together) is a health and well-being project funded by NHS through CCG. The project organises groups and activities to promote well-being among Irish and and Irish decedents in Merseyside. Our community garden, the Cuimhne Memories Group, Weigh2Change Group and Health Walks are examples of the work that Sláinte Le Chéile does within the community.

Irish Community Care Merseyside is well established as the primary provider of welfare support for Irish, Irish Decedents and Irish Traveller communities within Merseyside. The organisation was originally formed as a branch of the Irish Centre and we have continued to maintain strong links throughout the years. The support they provide is invaluable.

Liverpool Irish Festival is now in it's 15th year and is going from strength to strength, This year we will be hosting the play "Committed" and two bands, The Whistling Donkey's and Strength NIA. Check out their exciting programme of events here.

Comhaltas Liverpool are a cornerstone of Irish Musical Heritage in Liverpool. From workshops and tuition to concerts and exchanges, the Irish Centre is at the heart of it all. Comhaltas musicians meet every Monday evening and have many events throughout the year.

Liverpool Cares  is a community network of older and younger neighbours hanging out and helping each other in our rapidly changing city. They hold regular, FREE social clubs for people over 65 to come together with people in their 20s and 30s for fun, laughter and friendship. The Irish Centre is one of the venues for Social Clubs, so far we’ve hosted Pub Quizzes and Desert Island Disc nights, but expect dance classes, technology workshops and more in the future! To get involved, or if you know someone who might be interested, call Abbie on 0151 659 1789 or 07701352495.
